I purchased a ebike from Urbrica usa on Amazon fot 662.00 and 200 shipping with a warranty. The frame on the ebike snapped in less than 2 months. I contacted urbrica usa and they are unwilling to honor the warranty and told me to weld the frame. The bike has been sitting for weeks unused because I am fighting with them to send the bike back and get a replacement or a refund. I happen to look on the internet and they are known for snapped frames that are supposed to last years snapping in months. Like mine. The snapped frame has nothing to do with use. The frame is made from cheap aluminum im finding out and it cost hundreds of dollars to have the frame fixed by an authorized welder. This company is selling garbage with a warranty to unsuspecting consumers that are buying a product with a warranty
I purchased a 72v Wired Warrior ebike from Wired Inc. This bike has large batteries. The main/largest compartment of this ebike does not open or close properly and allow for the safe removal/insertion of the battery. Each time the battery is removed or inserted it significantly damages the surface of the battery. After a few more repetitions the surface battery plastic will be damaged and removed and then the bare battery cells will be exposed creating a significant fire hazard.

First complaint filed Sept 4 2025. Temu has only sent copy-paste replies from multiple reps ([REDACTED]), demanded irrelevant docs (police report, photos of impounded bike), and dismissed claim saying forks were different color though I only painted them. This product is structurally unsafe and presents serious injury risk. Request CPSC investigate Temu and seller for selling defective/dangerous parts
I purchased a Lectric Xpedition 1.0 approximately two years ago. The bicycle has been ridden fewer than 150 miles total and is in near-new condition. Despite the low mileage, the rear wheel has repeatedly come loose from the frame, creating an immediate risk of loss of control and crash. Upon inspection, an independent bicycle shop determined that this is a factory defect related to the torque arm / dropout design. Their position is that the bike was unsafe from the time of manufacture. I have also reviewed social media groups where owners have reported similar wheel detachment issues. This suggests the problem may be widespread and systemic among this model. Lectrics newer model, the Xpedition 2.0, appears to have incorporated a design change to address this exact issue.
while charging the ridstar q20 ebike battery, the charger would sometimes not work and would not charge the battery. last night while it was charging the outlet where the battery charger plug was plugged in started to smoke and catch fire
I purchased a Hiboy EX7 electric bike on Aug 20th. The bike came mostly assembled, after finishing set up I took it for a spin where it worked fine though the brakes were a little loose. Two days later the front AND rear brakes both failed while riding causing an accident. All the sudden I hear a little ping/click/pop sound and I notice that my rear brake lever has almost completely lost resistance, and that my rear brake seems to have little to no stopping power. Luckily I was able to pull over safely using my front brake alone and I spent a while looking at my bike to see if I could figure out what was going wrong. At first I assumed that the brake cable must have snapped or something, but that doesn't seem to have been the case because each time I pulled the rear brake lever I could see the cable pulling the little "arm" (not sure what this part is called, but it's the little lever on the brake itself that the cable connects to) being pulled what seems to be the normal amount. Looking into the rear caliper and pulling the handle, I could see a small amount of pad movement, and could even see the rotor move a bit so I know that some contact was being made. But just a short distance into pulling the brake I would hear that same ping/click/pop sound and it appears that the brake would just pop/slip back off, my hand would feel almost no resistance on the lever, and the brakes were barely stopping the bike, if at all!
I recently purchased a Lectric XP Step-Thru 3.0 White Long-Range eBike. When the bike was delivered, the rear tire/tube was deflated and separated from the bicycle. Upon contacting the company about this issue, I was informed that there was a known defect in the tubes and wheels for the bicycle I purchased. I was told that a batch of the bikes had weak tubes prone to rupture, burrs on the wheel rims that could lead to repeated tube punctures, and/or screws sticking out on the rims that could lead to repeated tube punctures. After I reported the issue, I received what seemed to be a form email about possible fixes for these issues. I had no idea that this was an issue before I purchased this bike, I was not informed about this issues before I received the bike, and I did not find out until I contacted customer service. As far as I know, no widespread notice has been sent out to customers about this issue as I have not received any such public notice even though the product I purchased was affected. I suppose I was lucky, because if my tire had not arrived deflated, I might have thought that the inevitable flat tire was due to user error or environmental hazard. I was never put in harms way because I have been unable to ride the bike even once. However, those customers that are not informed of these defects may repeatedly experience flat tires without understanding that the cause may be a defect with the bicycle wheels and tubes. Lectric offered to pay for me to get the problems repaired, but in the end I could not access a bike shop that would handle the issue. So that I could repair the bike myself, Lectric eventually agreed to send me new front and rear wheels, which are currently on backorder until the end of October. Originally I was told that there would be no point in them sending me new wheels because the new wheels might have the same problem. This indicates that they know there is a problem, but have not fixed it, and are not necessarily checking the product
The e-bike was delivered without a proper stem clamp bolt, which is essential for securing the handlebars to the steering stem. This missing component creates an immediate and severe safety hazard that could result in: Complete separation of handlebars from the front wheel/steering mechanism Total loss of steering control at speeds up to 28 mph Catastrophic crashes resulting in severe injury or death
