While riding my GoTrax G3 Max Long Range scooter under normal conditions, the rear wheel slid off the pavement. When I applied the brakes, the throttle remained engaged, causing the scooter to continue powering forward while braking. This resulted in a complete loss of control the scooter turned sideways, and I was thrown over the handlebars onto the ground. Injuries Sustained: Fractured pinky finger (confirmed by X-ray) Sprained wrist Sprained ribs Pain, swelling, and loss of mobility impacting daily life and work
I had a horrible accident on June 8, 2022, where I was riding the Swagertron SGS (SGS) on a residential street, when all of a sudden the handle (the one with the brake handle) fell of and caused me to crash. I couldn't move my leg, and I was in excruciating pain. I had to call a family member to help me and I was taken immediately to the hospital emergency room. Long story short, I was sent home on crutches, the pain was worse, which caused a second fall and a second trip to emergency, where not only was another x-ray was done but this time a MRI was done, which revealed that my knee was broken in two places. I've been trying to get assistance regarding this matter but I honestly didn't know where to turn. I tried the Consumer Financial Protection bureau, but nothing was done. So, I'm trying to get assistance with you regarding this product and problem. Please find enclosed my copy of a demand letter to the manufacturer of the scooter. Any assistance regarding this matter would help.
Jue Shuai x60 electric scooter, defective front motor bearings or machining issue allows wheel to move side to side on the axle even when the axle nuts are tight, it causes the front brake rotor to impact the brake caliper mount causing the front wheel to lock up. The vendor is declining to honor their warranty terms or address this safety issue. This was a Amazon purchase.
I rented a Spin scooter, but during my ride, I encountered some serious issues. The scooter had noticeable wheel shaking, and I also found that the brakes were not functioning properly, which raised concerns about safety and usability. As a result of these problems, I unfortunately ended up with several broken bones.
My brother was riding a Ninebot ES4 scooter on 8/29 when the battery exploded and launched him off, causing him to hit his head. He was commuting down a neighborhood side street in Brooklyn. He sustained a TBI and had a massive epidural hematoma. He had to go into emergent surgery and was put on a ventilator and in a medically induced coma for two weeks. Now, three weeks since the accident, we are unsure what his recovery will look like.
I was riding my i-Glide Metro City Commuter scooter throughout the streets of Downtown [REDACTED], and while i was riding, the brake cable dislodged from the wheel break, and it does not have a very strong design to withstand rides on fairly rough streets. When it dislodged form its connector to the brake, it scratched the road meaning that it had dislodged, and its design is not very secure.
I fell off a e-scooter on a safe flat terrain, going up a curb due to the defectiveness of the new scooter. Only had it for a few days(Aovopro- Electric Scooter LP60-19 mph from the TikTok shop). It abruptly stopped going up a flat curb(small- that merges the bike lane to a sidewalk). I was only going about 8mph and it stopped, causing me to fall on my hands and knees. I have been talking to the manufacturer and they keep giving me the run around, and taking hours-days to respond. I have showed them my injuries and have initiated a return/refund but I find that its not fair I have to pay for the shipment of a faulty item rather than just getting a reshipment of the same product or full reimbursement for my troubles.
I was riding my Hi boy scooter on level surface thats is rated for 20mph I tried to get up to that speed and exceeded that speed finding out the scooter I purchased went 32 mph as I tried to slow down the brakes on the front blow completely out of the scooter as Im a parching a hill I try to use the back brakes and put my foot down the back brakes would not respond. So now at this point Im going down down a hill at 32mph and slam in to a back of a truck. The driver got out and ask was I okay I wasnt sure where I was or what happened, later on that day I went to the hospital for 2 broken toes thank god and the severe concussion
