I purchased a metal garden shed by vidaxl.com (ordered on Wayfair) that required assembly. On 7/4/21, I read the instructions which stated to use care and the gloves they provided, as there were sharp edges, and began to assemble the shed. I did as the instructions recommended. I noticed that there were razor-sharp edges on all parts. I was very careful, but wondered why any product would be sold with parts like this. I picked up a side panel, carefully, and although wearing gloves, my hand was sliced open by the flat inside of the panel. A metal v-shaped part had popped up against the flat side, and cut the palm of my hand open. My hand began to bleed profusely, even through several large towels. My sister took me to the emergency room, where they diagnosed a deep tissue wound.

Outdoor Garden Shed Model # 60005 Store SKU # 1000975988 When installing the roof pieces, my head was lacerated on the hanging metal truss that is a long rod with a screw head, I required 6 staples and a medical bill for Urgent Care. The hanging rod, thru the truss, is very dangerous, had I looked up, as I had done with the other parts of the roof my eye would have, literally, been punctured and could have caused my DEATH. I contacted the manufacturer and they said they do not find that this is an issue and refused to address the issue any further.
I came home to find a HUGE fire in the front of my home. It looked like it was coming out of my first floor window. I called 911 and could barely get my address out of my mouth. I screamed HELP and neighbors as well as a woman passing by in a car stopped because she thought my whole house was going to go up. After the firefighters put out the fire, it was determined that my Mini Greenhouse with a hard plastic top was the cause of the fire. The reflection of the sun into the greenhouse set some plant material on fire. The product was simply sitting on the front porch in the sun like greenhouses do. Yes the passerby who tried to put out the fire sustained burns on both of her arms because of the burning plastic.

Per the instructions, I laid the shed pieces out on the lawn to assemble. My dog came over to say hi. He stepped on the edge of one of the MANY thin metal pieces that make up the shed. The edge of the metal piece sliced through the pad of his paw, splitting it from under the nail to the back of the pad. I bandaged it, as it was late in the evening. The next day however, it was very obvious that he needed stitches for the wound. I took him to the vet and incured a $1063 vet bill to fix his paw. Dog's paw pads are very thick and tough. Had this been stepped on by a child, it would have caused an even more sever injury.
After installing a Suncast Horizontal storage shed, the lid slammed down on my head. The gas struts provided with the product are not strong enough to hold the lid up and there is no prop rod provided.
Rubbermaid model 1800001 Slide-Lid Shed. The shed is intended to allow the user to slide the roof backwards into an open position or forward into a closed position. When in the forward/closed position, the user is supposed to be able to close the two front doors to seal the shed. As currently designed, this operation is unsafe and exposes the user to pinch hazards: The shed roof is inadequately supported, so the peak of the roof sags below the top of the doors. To close the shed, the user must manually lift the peak of the roof while closing the doors, then release the roof onto the doors. It is very difficult to perform this operation without pinching the user's fingers between the roof and door. The mechanical design of the shed is inadequate. The roof is attached to two flexible walls. There is no horizontal cross-support to prevent the walls from bowing outwards, which causes the roof to sag. I tried to report this safety issue to Rubbermaid on Sep-10 and again on Sep-26. I have received no response.
