My 3 year old toddler bit the material on the handle. Before we realized that she had bitten off a part of the handle protector, she took a deep breath and the material lodged in her throat and started choking. Her dad had to put his fingers inside her throat to dislodge it.

(04/2013)The consumer stated that she noticed a tear in the net. The consumer stated that she continued to let her children jump on the trampoline but the net continued to disintegrated. The consumer stated that the trampoline have not been in use since then because of the safety issue. The frame padding on the trampoline also came apart, but has since been replaced. No one was injured. The consumer stated that she will continue to try to reach the manufacturer.

We own a sports power brand swing set Jump N Swing model sold by Kmart. We've had it set up for about a year and a half and the foam padding on the swing set legs has degenerated to the point that they are no longer there and the material that holds the springs from the trampoline to the frame has become so weak that it recently started breaking, sending the springs flying! When the springs went flying my son's leg went through the side part of the trampoline banging his leg on the frame and his foot hit the ground hard. I can no longer let my kids play on this part of the swing set since one spring almost hit me and my four month old baby in the face, not to mention they could fall through at any point. My kids only weigh 35 and 27 lbs so well under the 50 lb per child weight limit set by the manufacturer.

I am reporting the same experience as in incident 20110315-EA877-2147481375. http://www.saferproducts.gov/ViewIncident/1171039 We had the same Pure Fun First Jumper trampoline for roughly three months or less when the bungie cord that supplies the bounce to the jumper broke. Our children weighed 25-50lbs during its usage and it claims to be rated to 75lbs. The cord simply snaps while the child is jumping causing them to hit the floor instead of bouncing up. Its unlikely that there will be significant harm since the jumper is so close to the ground but there is some risk of injury. We did not get around to trying to replace the cord until right now when our younger kids are coming to the bouncy age. In shopping for a new cord I noticed the reports of the same experience from other owners including the government report. I did contact the manufacturer listed in the incident linked above and they informed me that there were no recalls on the product.

We bought a 14' SportsPower Trampoline in December 2013. The safety net ripped within 4 months, the net ripped and had to be repaired. The safety net ripped again in June 2015. My 4 year old daughter fell out and hit her head on the concrete floor below. She was rushed to the hospital with big knot in her head. The end result was she suffered a concussion from the fall. We haven't used the trampoline since because we are scared the kids will fall out.

Trampoline enclosure netting completely ripped all around the base putting my child in danger of falling of the edge. The netting material is obviously not designed to handle the weather elements in Florida and there was no warning stating that its use is not recommended in Florida. The netting rips apart like paper after less than one year.
