I purchases a Casper DRESM MATTRESS IN EARLY July 2025. The smell from off gassing causes bad headaches. I tried every way possible to ventilate the room, fans, AC, open windows, standing the mattress on end, etc. I reported to the company on August 8, 2025 that there was so much off gassing that the room was unusable and they agreed to take it back. I really wanted to make it work as it looks beautiful, is comfortable from a cushiony point of view and was a descent price so i kept it in a spare bedroom for another month with ventilation. Everytime i go into the room, the chemical smell is extreme. I have never had a problem with any product like that as I do not have chemical sensitivities. I bought a new mattress Sealy Posturepedic Beresan Plush Euro Pillow Top mattress for my mother, but she could not have a good sleep for three days, coughing all the night, having a bad headache and feeling a sore throat seriously. The chemical materials used in the mattress made her allergic. The product is a problem one and not safe for some customers. My mother does not have a history of allergy. From the merchant's website I can not have some information about the problem of allergy. No warnings I am able to have. The merchant admitted some kind mattresses are high allergic but some lower. My mother can not use the mattress. The merchant refused to return it and refund.

I bought Queen Size mattress from Value City Furniture (Falls Church VA) in mid of 2010. The model of mattress is "RSFPBL -5M-1 (Royal Sensitive firm), Queen CK5091" The composition of mattress materials are as follows: • 62.1% - polyurethane Foam • 26.7 % Polyester fiber • 4.9% of Rayon Fiber • 4.9 % phosphate treated kit • 1.4 % Viscose fiber After slept on this mattress, we slowly got sick. Initially, we had mild chest pain, back pain, dizziness, fatigue, and headache. Later, the intensity of pain and dizziness, fatigue has reached to intolerable. We (me and my spouse) have visited doctors several times. Dr. Suggested for MRI and X-ray. We did HVAC system and air duct cleaning but pain remained same. At the meantime, we changed bed, we felt better. When we changed room and bed, we got relief in three to four nights. Our daughter sleep on other bed in another room, she never had such problems. We tried to sleep forth and back. When we sleep, it starts pain. Mattress is still with us. I strongly believe that this is due to process chemicals residue (most possibly Carbon disulfide) in the mattress fillers. Therefore, I would like to request to investigate case so that no one will hurt from such contaminants. Also, please suggest me how can I return my mattress and get refund. Consumer stated that the memory foam mattress after using it for 3 weeks, caused health symptoms for her and her spouse which included incontinence, memory loss, instability, head and body aches, loss of appetite etc. The mattress was removed and the house was thoroughly cleaned and ventilated, their symptoms started to dissipate. However, when they brought back the mattress the symptoms returned. No medical attention was received. Consumer returned the mattress to the retailer 9/28 for a refund. 9/27/14 The manufacturer was contacted through email but there was no response as yet. Consumer feels that this mattress poses a health hazard and should be reported.

Purchased a 14" Classic Brands Ultimate Cooling Gel from Amazon for about $400. Have had the bed for less than a year. Bed sleeps great as I've had back and neck pain since 2012. Just 2 days after my birthday, and 2 days from our 1 year anniversary from buying the home, my 4yo daughters spills ice cream on the mattress and as I've cherished the mattress, I took the initiative to wash all of the bedding. The mattress had a zipper which made it easily accessible, and I immediately assumed it could be taken of to wash. Indeed I did, and that same night I woke up choking and coughing, looked at my phone to check the time and these particles kept flying onto my phone screen like magnetically. Turned my phone flash on and there were glitter like particles everywhere on my blankets clothes, from my room to my children's bedrooms, the living, and kitchen area. Had no idea what it could've been. The next morning I couldn't see with my naked eye what those particles were so I didn't think anything of it until few hours I remembered I only saw it when my phone flash was on the night prior. Flash my phone light and there they were... fiberglass all over my bedroom walls, our curtains, clothes, the bed! Abatement cost was nearly $24K, excluding the cost to replace nearly everything in my home. From furniture, to beddings, clothes on our backs, food, etc. Contaminated nearly every inch of our home, including our washer/dryer which had then contaminated clothes we've had to wash. This nightmare all over a mattress! Would I purchase this bed again? There's a 20% chance only maybe if fiberglass isn't used as a fire retardant in this mattress! We the consumers buy these products and depend on them for a good night's sleep. Classic Brands has denied any demand request through my attorney. Shows they have no empathy and will take no fault in the cheap alternative materials they place in these beds. The consumer stated that she purchased a foam mattress and she started having a rash on her skin scattered around her body. The consumer stated that she also experienced itchy eyes, nausea upon waking up, nose bleeds, her right kidney hurts, and bladder infections. The consumer stated that she wakes up during the night and when she wakes up she still feels tired. The consumer stated that she decided to move to another bedroom for approximately 2 ½ weeks and her symptoms improved. The consumer stated that she has been to several doctors and they are unable to find why she was having the symptoms. She stated that she has changed foods and detergents thinking she had been becoming allergic to them. The consumer stated that she was researching and found that many reports had been filed online in regards to the foam mattress and the symptoms that they cause. The consumer stated that this product those not provide any labels indicating that it could be toxic to some consumers. The consumer stated that she will be contacting the manufacturer to file a report.

This bed is causing me serious back problems. It is not a hybrid mattress. The springs seem like they are the only thing in the mattress no cushion no support and no pillow top

I purchased two memory foam twin mattresses from Amazon in 2017. The mattress were used with my toddler and 5 year old at the time. We still have the mattress. Both children developed persistent allergies that continued for years. One needed nasal turbinates surgery as a result of her constantly inflamed sinuses . I never thought to check my mattress as l frequently wash the bedding of young children . I needed a new bed for my 6 yr old and decided to look into purchasing the same mattress because l do indeed love the feel of it. Upon looking at current AMAZON reviews, l noticed many people commenting about the mattress shedding fiberglass. I called the manufacturer listed on the mattress AMERIWOOD HOME. But they referred me to DHP products. I asked the representative to check the model # of my bed and inform me whether or not fiberglass was used in the bed and after speaking to two representatives...it is confirmed. The second representative went as far as saying they didn't use fiberglass but when she checked the model # of my bed, she retracted her statement and said that they haven't used fiberglass after 2017 ( conveniently so--- since l purchased my two twin beds in 2017) Beds Signature Sleep Memoir 12" High-Density, Responsive Memory Foam Mattress - Bed-in-a-Box, Twin List price at the time $149.00 Model #5475 096 Current Amazon reviews of this bed ALSO mention Fiberglass shedding There is no warning on the mattress cover to advise against removal of the cover. No indication of fiberglass used . I was offered no solution. Correcting this issue will be VERY costly . MANUFACTURER OFFERED NO SOLUTION. NO REPLACEMENT. NO REFUND IN THE LEAST. ALL I WANT IS FOR OTHERS TO KNOW THE HEALTH THREAT INVOLVED. There is still no information listed on the product page to earn those who purchased the beds in 2017 or before. It is an excellent feeling mattress...but not worth potential health risks
