Regarding EGO Power+ RBA2100 Rubber Broom Attachment for EGO 56-Volt Lithium-ion Multi-Head System: After assembling the product and reading the user manual I attempted to use the product. The product is heavy (24+ lbs) and very powerful making it very difficult to control. A user must bear the weight and torque of the product without the aid of a shoulder strap or a support like a base/wheels. I am a larger male, weighing nearly 250lbs and the product's "kickback" pushed me around easily. The angle the product is held is critical to how much kickback force it exerts. It is very easy to cause the angle to change during usage causing sudden and uncontrollable force exerted against the user. I tried the product to clear a sidewalk and was pushed off the sidewalk and into traffic. I was able to catch myself and step onto the curb but I was nearly pushed in the path of a car. As designed, I do not feel that the product is safe for residential users. And, the lower the mass of the user, the more dangerous the product is to use.
Bought a Bissel vacuum sweeper. Found it uses a [REDACTED] sponge pad as a filter. Vacuumed 80 sq ft of my apartment and being in its environment found my face go numb.
I have a Bissell 3 in 1 Turbo hard floor electric sweeper. While I was using it the motor speed up and sparks flew out and motor burned out and it smoke and stop working. I reported it to the company, they send me a new one the same thing happened to the second one .well they send me a new one just got it , keeping fingers crossed
I love the product. I used it all the time. It is a rechargeable sweeper. When not in use, I plugged it in to be charged for the next use. One morning I noticed a funny smell in my house. I couldn't find it and left for work. When I got home, my kids were complaining about it. We finally tracked it to the swiffer vacuum. The cord was super hot, and the top of the vacuum had melted. I immediately unplugged it, and set it outside. I've never used it since and went back to my broom and dustpan.
The consumer says that every time he pulls the sweeper back towards him it shocks him. He contacted the manufacturer who told him they would have to buy an anti static glove, and wipe it down before they used it. The consumer says that the product is not labeled anywhere that a glove needs to be used.
The consumer stated that while she was using the electric sweeper about an hour later, flames erupted from the handle where it is located to the hose. It melted the handle and the tube near to the sweeper area. She immediately unplugged the unit. There were no prior incident. 1/2013 The manufacturer was contacted and she was advised that a service rep would be sent out on 1/28/13. The service rep advised her that the unit was out of warranty and she would be charged for replacement parts. She felt that this should be repaired free of charge by the firm. The caller feels that this sweeper is a fire hazard and should be reported.
Home owner purchased a rechargeable scrubbing wand. It caught fire the first time it was charged.
The EasyHome rechargeable cordless sweeper distributed by Aldi Inc. burnt my carpet while it was being recharged.
