Tuscany Bourn One-Handle Pull-Down Stainless Steel Kitchen Faucet bought at Menards in Cambrigdge, MN. Menards SKU # 6739577 Model # 903T42205101SS. My husband went to pull down the faucet mechanism while washing dishes and the edges are very sharp in the back, causing laceration cuts on my husbands fingers. Called the store directly and talked to a manager. Filled out a complaint form on the Menards website and will be filed with the vendor. Called the vendor & was advised to leave a voicemail. None was left, I will file a complaint form through Menards instead.
We had a larger custom home built several years ago, Which we use primarily as 1 of our vacation homes. During construction we went for the huge upgrade of using entirely moen products through the entire home due to there great reputation, However after using there product for a few years we have noticed a major flaw in your kitchen faucets a negligent flaw to be exact, The issue we have been facing has caused health problems as well as severe damage to our house, moen kitchen faucets that have a detachable head have begun to leak and cannot be seen by the user/owner and as we do not use the area underneath our sink for anything and have small children, we have all the cupboards locked, after returning from a six month vacation at another property when we arrived at this house we smelled a strong odor of mold and noticed mold on the backside of our island which are kitchen faucet/sink is located after careful review and inspection we and our plumber figured out that the damage to our kitchen is being caused by one of the there moen faucets in the kitchen. What is happening is the metal mesh flexible pipe begins to leak in the neck of the faucet which cannot be seen to the eye, and when left unchecked flooded our locked unused cabinet causing severe damage as well as causing our family to breath in mold. This is a major flaw no type of faucet or mesh pipe should be able to leak in a hidden faucet area .
Shortly after going to bed one night, I heard a "pop" and the sound of running water in the bathroom. I found that the cold water handle and valve cartridge had blown off the top of a 7 year old two handle Glacier Bay vanity faucet. Water was shooting at full force straight up into the air. I was very fortunate to have been nearby when this happened and was able to turn off the water almost immediately. This was in a 2nd story bathroom and could have easily caused thousands of dollars in water damage. If it had been the hot water faucet that had blown off, there would have also been a scalding hazard. The part that failed is a thin threaded cylinder that screws down onto the faucet body to hold the valve cylinder in place. The faucet parts diagram calls it a retainer nut or "bonnet." Although it had been in service for seven years, the faucet was drip free and the polished brass finish still looked like new. There was no sign at all that it was about to fail catastrophically. It had never required any maintenance other than an occasional cleaning of the aerator. I have a 14 year old version of this same faucet in the downstairs bathroom. The only difference is that the porcelain handles are attached with exposed polished brass screws. On the newer faucet that failed, these screws are hidden under snap-in covers embossed with H & C. I though I better replace it immediately rather than risk another catastrophe, but when I pulled off the handles I could see that the bonnets on the older faucet were obviously much thicker and better built than the ones on the newer model. I've confidently decided to leave that one in service. The municipal water pressure here is 80 psi. That isn't high enough for the building department to require pressure regulators, but I installed one anyway over 20 years ago and check and maintain it on an annual basis. In 2024 we got a puppy shortly after purchasing a kitchen faucet from Amazon that was recently reported to contain lead in levels unsafe for children. Around 10 months of age our puppy began showing signs of a neurological problem with random un provoked aggression and attacks. After several severe bites and trying everything we could, we had to put our puppy down to prioritize our physical safety. Receiving this alert and researching the effects of lead in puppies leads me to believe the faucet may be more likely the cause than a random genetic neurological issue.

Purchased a new kitchen faucet named Fairbury from American Standard plumbing products company. After about 6 months, the leeching of plastic tubing from the pull down water line to the spray head tasted like 'plastic whiskey', contacted American Standard, they sent me a brand new complete faucet. Installed that one, again, about 6 mos later, same taste. It occurs while water sits in the supply line to the head, not the supply lines from the shut off valves to the control cartridge. I eliminated the lines from shut offs, filter and concluded it is the supply line to the spray head. I'm sure we're not the only one's with the problem, suggest a line replacement to the head recall. To get rid of the taste, must run the water between 15-40 secs (approx). No injuries known, concerned with aftereffects of effluent leeching.
We had two separate Price-Pfister faucets cause terrible leaks in our new home due to a design issue with their faucets. Please allow me to explain: Unlike other manufacturers, Price-Pfister uses plastic connectors to connect to the hot and cold water plumbing supply lines. These plastic connectors fail in two different ways: 1) They crack releasing a fine un-obstructed water stream that runs continuously. Because it is under a cabinet it goes unnoticed for days causing the walls to fill with water. 2) The connector completely breaks causing the water supply line to shoot water like a fire hose. We experienced both of these types connector failures in our home on two separate occasions and on two separate Price-Pfister faucets (same model number). Both leaks occurred on the hot water supply line to the faucet. I believe this is because the plastic connectors cannot take the temperature transitions of the Hot water line. Allow me to explain. 1 - (02/20/2016) The first leak incident was a tiny crack that ran un-noticed and unobstructed for days. It filled the walls, floors and ceilings of our home with water all the way from the second floor to the basement. This is dangerous because it could easily fill electrical outlets and or ceiling light fix causing a shock or death. Worse, the water traveled under the floors where we couldn't see it. We could have easily been standing in the water hidden under the surface and gotten a shock if we went to use an electrical appliance. Again this not only soaked the second floor, it soaked the first and eventually the basement near the electrical panel, another shock hazard. 2 - (10/11/2016) During the second leak incident, a large piece of the entire connector broke off causing the hot water to run at full force while the supply hose shot water everywhere. We bought a Kingston Brass faucet for our water filtration system about 6 or 7 years ago. The model is Heritage KS1190AL. For the last couple of years, the water from the filter stopped tasting as good. We kept changing the filters, but the bad taste remained. Last year the faucet started dripping, even when it was off. It got worse this year and started to caused yellowish-brown stains on our sink. Obviously, one expects water from a good filtration system to not cause staining, even after putting in new filters, so we had the water tested, and it has lead in it. I called the manufacture to ask what NSF/ANSI certifications the faucet has and their tech support could not provide me with any.
