I have a City Mini GT Single Stroller and I also purchased the coordinating Baby Jogger Deluxe Pram. I have a 4 week old baby. On Sunday, September 28, I was walking across 14th street at 1st Avenue in Manhattan with my baby in the pram. The street was not particularly bumpy. Out of nowhere, the pram popped out of the stroller and fell to the right with my baby in it. It fell on it's side - thankfully, my baby did not fall into the street, but stayed in the pram and was potentially cushioned by a blanket in the pram. She cried for a bit and then fell asleep - we went immediately to the emergency room, and she was observed and is now fine. However, I do believe that there is something wrong with the adapter or the place you insert the adapter for the pram. There is a gray button on either side of the stroller where you attach the adapter, and I think that something may be wrong with that button - it was potentially not fully engaged on the left side. However, even if that was the case, I do not believe that the pram should have completely popped off of the stroller! This was, by far, the scariest thing that has ever happened to me. I am so thankful that my daughter is safe and healthy, but I do not want any parent to have to experience this fear like I did. I have been in touch with Baby Jogger and I am sending back my stroller and pram so they can inspect it, and they are refunding my money so that I can purchase a different stroller - emotionally, I do not feel that I can use the same stroller ever again.
My husband was pushing our 2 year old daughter in the push buggy when the handle came loose and came off, pushing the buggy forward and down a hill. Our daughter was buckled in and the car propelled forward and flipped over into a rose bush. A branch from the bush went through her lip and we had to rush her to the emergency room. She had to be operated on to fix her lip and continues to have a scar.
