Baby bottle washer internal plastic pieces break apart into small pieces and powder. It can easily be microplastics released in the form of powder onto baby bottles and pump parts being washed in this machine. I simply touched with minimum pressure (like touching a smartphone) and the pieces crumbled into powder and very small pieces.

Today, it caught on fire from the bottom of the unit, setting my kitchen on fire and we had to call 911 and the fire department. All of my bottles and breast pump parts are ruined.
Momcozy KleanPal Pro Baby Bottle Washer, Sterilizer & Dryer inner washer jet system started to disintegrate after 4 months of regular use. Regular use is running it once a day on the following settings : standard clean, sterilize, and storage. Washer was used with MomCozy washing tablets made for the washer. Upon inspection, bottles were covered in tiny plastics. Child consumed those tiny plastic pieces and likely injected any microplastics. I only saw the issue once I took a bottle out of the washer and the jet had broke. I touched the plastic to see why it broke and it crumbled in my hand. This issue had to of been going on for months without me noticing, exposing my infant to microplastics. I only noticed the breakage on 2/21/2026 but had been using the machine for 4 months. Who knows how long the machine was releasing microplastics onto my child's bottles. The plastic that crumbled is like dust. It feels like sand and it was all over the bottles/nipples. I tried to photo is and attach them to their report. This is not an isolated incident. The company is aware of this issue and many parents took to Reddit to share their stories. Why hasn't MomCozy issued a recall knowing their product is exposing infants to microplastics?

While cleaning my Momcozy KleanPal Pro Baby Bottle Washer and Sterilizer, I noticed the bottom plastic components were starting to disintegrate and broken pieces of plastic were visible on the bottom of the machine after less than 5 months of use. A quick internet search showed it was not a unique problem.
Our complaint involves the Dr. Browns Natural Flow® Deluxe Baby Bottle Sterilizer, model #AC045 / serial number 21164-27786-02122. The Instructions for Use (IFU) contain inadequate instructions. IFU includes both the printed and online version as of the date of this complaint. This product is used to sterilize infant feeding items and accessories. The set includes a lift-out basket, tongs, and a measuring cup. The reason for our complaint: On multiple occasions, "soot" and an excessive amount of black particles were found inside the machine and inside Dr. Brown's baby bottle vents after use. To that end, we have noted the following deficiencies in the labeling material: The IFU instructs the user to wash, rinse and empty the baby bottles and accessories before running the appliance but does not specifically instruct the user to dry, or air-dry, the items before running the appliance. Drying the bottles prior to running the appliance allows for the removal of residual water leftover from the dishwasher or rinsing process. Residual water left on the outside and/or inside of the bottles and accessories may contaminate the distilled water used to sterilize the bottles, especially if city water is not properly filtered or is hard water, and may exacerbate the build-up of mineral deposits on the heating element surface. IFU does not specifically instruct the user to visually inspect inside Dr. Browns baby bottle vents. Regardless if any foreign matter tested harmless, it is to be expected that baby bottles do not contain foreign particles inadvertently trapped inside Dr. Brown's bottle vents from either the cleaning process or after using the Dr. Brown's sterilizer. The IFU does not specifically instruct the user to stop using the appliance when mineral deposits are present. The IFU does not instruct the user to re-wash bottles and accessories if black flakes and/or residue is found on the lift-out basket and heating element after using the appli
Baby Brezza bottle sterilizer and dryer malfunctioned and stopped working after strong burning smell came from device that left bottles with burn residue. If you try to replug in device, it will shock you even without any water present.
BabyBrezza Sterilizer and Dryer (new and used for barely 1 month) caused electric short when being used at home. The plug end was burned and the wall socket was damaged and unusable. Safety breaker at our residence also tripped for that circuit. A certified electrician was called to replace the power receptacle and reset power to the circuit.
