I have a Cuisinart DLC-10. The blade has a center plastic piece and two metal blades. The blades are connected thru the plastic center piece via rivets. There are pressure cracks occurring on the bottom blade around the rivets which is causing parts of the blade to come off and enter the food. I came very close to swallowing a metal piece from the blade in my hummus.

I have a 9-cup Cuisinart Food Processor with a steel metal cutting blade. Where the rivets hold the blade to the spindle mechanism there were apparently stress cracks. When using the processor, a sharp piece of metal, about 4mm wide broke off and ending up in the batter of some scones. I bit down on the metal shard, and was able to spit it out before swallowing it. When I examined the underside of the blade, I see that almost all of the other rivets had similar stress cracks. I called Cuisinart and it seemed to know all about this problem. Also, all over the internet, especially on Amazon reviews, there are reports of these stress cracks. I found these after the incident.

I purchased a KitchenAid food processor, Model KFP1330, on February 1, 2014. The unit did not grate mozzarella cheese - it would clump. On July 25, I followed suggestions to freeze the cheese first for a short time to firm it up so that it would grate. It did grate the first portion of the cheese but when it came to the end of the piece, it balled up and the cover of the processor flew up into the air. This means that it disengaged from a locked position. I gave it another try, and the same thing happened. Shaken because of a near miss to my head, I phoned the customer service number and explained my problem. The supervisor was quick to decide to send me a replacement bowl and top. I have not received these and have been without the processor for eight weeks.

I purchased a Ninja professional food processor. On 9/26/2025. The purpose for the purchase was to puree food for my 3 month old baby. I decided my purchase by observing the labeling on the box in the store. Considering what I needed the product for it seemed sufficient for the task. I brought the product home. That day I looked at the packaging a 2nd time looking for any warnings prior to opening. The only thing observed was fruit vegetables cookie dough and individual parts of the product. I proceeded to open and then read the instructions. Included is a quick start guide, owners guide and a food prep, dough making 101 one page guide. The first 2 materials that I read were the quick start guide and the owners guide. With in contents there are warnings that the product contains sharp objects. It is not cleary depicted that it can cut body parts off. I did not have a clear warning of it slicing human flesh. The illustrations and recipes only depicted fruits vegetables and cookie dough. My blade was sitting in my strainer drying not oscillating. I simply added an object to my strainer. Thats when the tip of my little finger along with the nail was severed off. None of the pictures or recipes included elude to the fact the blade is sharp enough to handle meat. Excersize care when handling blade under before first use does not explain clearly why. Are we Excersizing care to avoid damage of product? Again #3 blade being sharp. Does not say or illustrate the severity of sharpness. Even giving a warning of lacerations. A piece of paper can cause lacerations. This injury i received is more severe. The blade severed the tip of my finger off.

Cuisinart FP-14DC Elite Collection 14-Cup Food Processor, Die Cast This food processor is equipped with a [REDACTED]safety feature that's supposed to prevent the unit from running when the lid properly locked into place. However, on several occasions, once turning On the unit, it will not turn off. Removing the lid or pressing the Off button does not turn the unit off. The only way to turn it off is to unplug the unit from the wall. This means that the exposed sharp blade continues to run inside the food processor even when the [REDACTED]safety lid is removed, and this is extremely unsafe. Upon reading reviews on several websites such as[REDACTED], it appears that this is a common issue that's been reported by several consumers. I'm surprised that a safety recall does not already exist for this model food processor.

Baby Brezza Formula Pro. Have been using machine for few months to make formula for my baby. Formula has been made to average of 98 degrees which is considered safe by FDA for babies to consume. On 9/18 the bottle seemed hotter than usual. Started testing with a thermometer. Machine has been malfunctioning and heating water to as high as 109 degrees in the water tank. Heated water and formula after mixing out of the machine in the bottle still had temperatures of over 100. Contacted company to resolve issue with no success. They state this is normal. I don't see how over heated water is normal and safe for babies to consume.

Cutting Blade on a DLC-1SS has a tab that broke off into food being chopped. My wife found when trying some of the food. The part that broke off is about the size of a tooth. After further inspection of the blade 1/2 cracks were obvious on both both plastic forms where the blade protrudes. I have photos if you want them

I received a Ninja Blender Model: BL642 for a birthday present from my mother on 9/11/2018. On 9/16/2018 at approximately 5:00 pm, I proceeded to open the Ninja Blender box and packaging for the first time. I opened the top of the box and removed the top piece of Styrofoam. I did not see any warning labels or instructions on how to un-package the product. I removed the blender carafe (72 oz. pitcher) from the surrounding Styrofoam packaging. The carafe was packaged with blade assembly inside and the lid on. The blade assembly had no sheaths or protective covers on the blades. There was no warning label stating that the blade assembly was not attached or anchored to the carafe. The carafe lid was not locked into the carafe upon initial removal from packaging. I tilted the carafe, including blade assembly and lid, a little over 90 degrees from upright position to inspect the drive mechanism on the bottom of the carafe. As soon as I titled the carafe, the lid and the blade assembly fell out of the carafe. I was not aware and it was not made obvious to me through the packaging that the blade assembly is not anchored to the carafe. As I witnessed the lid fall off, I reflexively tried to catch it, not realizing or anticipating that the blade assembly would follow it out of the carafe. The blade assembly impacted my left hand on the way to the floor. I felt a shock of nerve pain shoot upon my arm at the instant the blade assembly made contact with the inside of my left middle finger. I immediately felt and saw blood gush out of the wound. The blade assembly had produced a significant laceration diagonally across the first joint from tip of my middle finger. I immediately grabbed some paper towels nearby, held the wound above my heart, and applied pressure with my other hand. My wife took me to the emergency room at the closest hospital and I received 6 stitches to my finger. Since receiving this injury, I cannot feel the tip of my finger.
