Product Safety Guides

In-depth resources on consumer product safety, injury trends, and recall data, built from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission's NEISS injury surveillance system (2005 to 2024), 9,692 CPSC recall announcements, and more than 65,000 consumer incident reports filed to SaferProducts.gov. Each guide explains how to read the underlying figures and where their limits lie; see our methodology for sources and update cadence.

All guides reference CPSC NEISS data covering 838 product categories and 7.3 million ER records (2005-2024).
